FAQ

To cancel the service, just give us a call and we’ll send you a pre-paid shipping label to return your monitoring system to our office at 3800 American Drive W. Suite 1500 Minneapolis, MN 55431. You can do this at any time. Please keep and use the original shipping and system packaging boxes. Once you have cancelled your service we will refund to your credit card any unused months of pre-paid service. It’s just that easy.

It’s really easy:

2. Select your desired system and subscription period.

3. You then have the option to purchase a lock box.

4. Fill out your user, payment and caretaker forms.

5. We’ll ship the same day.  You’ll normally have your system delivered to your door in two (2) days!

NO!  Our system is there for you 24 hours a day 365 days a year and we also recommend that you test it weekly.

Your medical alert system will range from $33 to $49 per month depending on your choice of equipment, your subscription payment and any additional equipment you may order. There are never any additional fees, such activation, shipping or service charges.

This depends on your insurance company. Some companies cover the cost provided there is a prescription from the individual’s doctor.  It is always a good idea to ask. Some of our subscribers are covered either through insurance or through local agencies that help those who cannot afford the system but need the security. In most cases portions of the costs are tax deductible. Speak to your tax professional for more details.

Nothing!  All shipping (return included), set-up, activation, cellular service are covered in your monthly subscription.

You have the option to select a monthly, quarterly (3 months) or annual subscription period. These amounts are pre-paid using the credit or debt card that was used on your original order.  Your rates will never increase and you can change your subscription time period by just giving us a call.

Our medical alert systems work anywhere in the USA including Puerto Rico and the USVI.

Our mobile systems are dependent upon cellular coverage in your particular area.  In very rare cases there may not be coverage.  We can check the service coverage map from the cellular providers but these maps are not always accurate. We recommend to test your system in your home and in those areas that you commonly go.

In most cases nothing. These are very durable products and  in most cases will be unaffected by a drop. If you drop your medical alert pendant, it should be tested immediately to verify the unit is working properly.

If it is broken:

Just give us a call and we’ll send you a new pendant at no charge.

All our systems come with an unconditional warranty on parts, labor and service for as long as you are a Subscriber. Repairs are free, including shipping.

The GoMobil Alert should “not” be submersed in water (do not take in a bath)

The Libris and the Lively Safety Watch are water proof and can be submersed in water and used in the bath and shower.

All of our systems are self testing which varies by unit.  We will know if you unit is not functioning properly and will contact you if that is determined.

We encourage our clients to self test their devices on a regular basis such as weekly or monthly.  Simply just press your button and connect to our response center.  Tell them you are testing your system. This is encouraged and is part of our service.

Your medical alert system requires no routine servicing. The system has self-diagnostic features, which alert the monitoring center if there is a problem. If the system requires service, we will ship you new equipment immediately.

YES. Take it with you when you leave your home. Cellular coverage is required. 

For our Lively Safety Watch the range of the transmitter varies, depending upon the location of the base unit and the outside construction materials of the home.  In most cases, the Watch will operate from 1,000 to 1,500 feet from the cellular hub located in the home.

The Lively Safety Watch can also be paired with a smart phone which will allow the user coverage nationwide.

Our GoMobile Alert needs to be charged approximately ever two months.  The emergency call center will send low battery alerts by email or text message (or both) that will inform the user and caretakers that there is one (1) week of battery power left on the device.

The Libris requires charging approximately ever 36 hours and has battery power status light on the device. The Libris will also announce to the user that the device is low on power and in need of charging.

Green= good battery

Amber= weak battery

Red=battery low and in need of charging

All systems are delivered free of charge and come pre-programmed and ready for use.

Both the Libris and GoMobil Alerts need no installation as they come programmed and ready for service right out of the box. However, charging of these devices is recommended prior to placing the unit in service.

The Lively Safety Watch requires a short set-up process which includes setting up the motion sensors in the home and completing an on-line dashboard monitoring portal. This process is very simple and can be done in 5 to 10 minutes. 

Once in service all systems should be tested by the user to confirm proper operation. Testing is done by simply pushing the alert button.
